The J&K Police Public Schools to operate under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Police wives welfare Association (police Parivar Regd), shall cater to the educational needs and overall personality development of the wards of police serving ,retired and deceased police personnel , especially children of those who laid their lives in the line of duty. Initially, two Schools were established at capital cities of Jammu and Srinagar which have now graduated to Higher Secondary level. Following the great demand of our men in particular and masses in general to establish such Schools at every District Hqrs. in the State and to provide equal opportunities to all our men as well as to civilians residing in remote areas. The department in its 2nd phase started six new Police Public Schools at District Anantnag, Baramulla, Doda, Rajouri, Leh and Kargil.
